Reilley Connelly, a sophomore at Boston University, is a two-time ALSF Student Leadership Academy attendee. Reilley first discovered the Student Leadership Academy (SLA) as a junior in high school. Then last year, when the program opened to college freshmen, sophomores and juniors, Reilley applied again.
“Oh, you’re Campbell’s sister.” This is what I would hear whenever I was being introduced to a new person at my school, or in my town, or at my dance studio, or at work, or anywhere that there was someone new. My youngest sister, Campbell, was diagnosed with cancer the summer before I went into sixth grade. She was three. I never thought that her diagnosis would still be impacting my life in major ways almost seven years later.

Collin was a social butterfly who loved to have fun. He was diagnosed twice with ALL, and after 12 wonderful years cancer-free, he was diagnosed with mucoepidermoid carcinoma and began fighting all over again. Sadly he passed away, but was an inspiration.
