Founded in 2008, the Vetri Foundation for Children focuses on serving underprivileged youth and addressing children’s health issues. The Vetri Foundation’s annual Great Chefs Event to benefit Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation has grown into one of Philadelphia’s most popular foodie events, attracting national attention and chefs from all over the country and Italy. The event began as a small gathering of local chefs and has grown to include 40 of the world’s finest chefs and mixologists. It is attended by more than 1,200 guests.

One of the creators of the Vetri Foundation, Jeff Benjamin, is also a board member at ALSF and has been a dedicated supporter for several years. Jeff is not only instrumental in producing The Great Chefs Event, but he continues to bring new supporters to the cause and promote the Foundation to potential new sponsors. Over the past several years, The Vetri Foundation for Children has contributed more than $1 million to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, becoming an important partner in the fight against childhood cancer.
