Superstar Chefs and Alex's Lemonade Stand Supporters Continue Quest for Childhood Cancer Cures with Fantastic Foodie Event!

The Vetri Foundation for Children’s 2011 Great Chefs Event was a phenomenal evening of incredible food, generous chefs, and record funds raised for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.  Thanks to over 240 volunteers and more than 40 chefs and mixologists from around the globe, over $800,000 was raised to help children and their families affected by childhood cancer.  One of the many highlights of the evening was when $120,000 was donated during the Fund A Cure portion of the auction to fund a research project in honor of this year’s event and its many supporters.  Over 1,100 guests enjoyed the beautiful venue at the Urban Outfitters Headquarters in the Navy Yard, before heading to an after party at Amis Trattoria. There VIPs & volunteers mingled with the chefs and danced to the sounds of guest DJ ?uestlove while enjoying more Philly food favorites.
