Can anyone hold a lemonade stand?

Yes! We believe that everyone can make a difference, and we encourage everyone to get involved. Lemonade stands have been organized by a diverse group of devoted volunteers including large and small businesses, inner city school children, senior centers, pre-school aged children, a juvenile detention center, college students, and a group of homeless people.   You should register your stand through our website before you hold it so one of our "stand coaches" can help you in your efforts and send you materials to support your fundraising!

Can I hold a lemonade stand any time or just during Lemonade Days?

Absolutely-- childhood cancer never lets up and we don't either! We encourage all of our stand hosts to hold a lemonade stand or any type of fundraising event any time of the year.   Lemonade stands are always fun to have during the warm seasons, but people get thirsty in the cold seasons too.   You can hold a lemonade stand or any type of event during the colder seasons.   Please check out the Get Involved page for other fundraising ideas and resources that you can do throughout the entire year!

Can I hold another type of fundraiser to support Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation?

We encourage our supporters to hold any type of fundraiser, from car washes to walk-a-thons to collecting change!   For creative fundraising ideas, check out the Hold Your Own Stand/Event section of our website for ideas on holding a different type of event.  Again, we ask that you make it official by registering your event by clicking on Register Now anywhere throughout the site.  We will keep in touch, provide your own customizable fundraising page, and send you a fundraising mini-pack starter kit.

Can I print my own banner or sign using your logos?

Yes, we encourage stand hosts to design their own banners, flyers or signs and incorporate our logos. We also offer some downloads and printable materials, visit our Downloads page for more information.

Can people write checks when they want to donate?

Absolutely! All donors that write checks receive a thank you note and receipt from us. Make checks payable to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.

Download our ALSF Check's Payable Sign here.

Do I need to build a stand?

No, you do not need to build a stand; although you certainly can (check out our Stand Construction Blueprint on our Downloads page!). A table-like surface of any kind will work just fine! There are many creative ways to decorate so people know to stop for a cup!  Also, after you register your stand, we will send you a small banner to hang at your stand so everyone knows you are holding an official Alex's Lemonade Stand.

How do I send in the donations?

It is easy to send in donations, just write a check or money order equal to all of the cash donations, and send it to:

Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation
333 E. Lancaster Ave #414
Wynnewood, PA 19096

DO NOT SEND CASH IN THE MAIL.

How much should I charge for lemonade?

We encourage you not to set a price for lemonade, but instead suggest to visitors that they give a donation of any amount. If someone asks, “how much for a cup of lemonade?” you can respond, “you can give whatever you would like to donate for children with cancer.” This will encourage generosity and allow those who may not have money to enjoy a cup of lemonade and learn about Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation and childhood cancer. Some locations may require or be better suited for setting a price for lemonade (schools or events that have other beverage vendors), in that case, set a minimum price that seems appropriate.

What is in a Lemonade Days box?

For our special national fundraising weekend Lemonade Days participants will recieve a limited edition Lemonade Days box after registration. A Lemonade Days box consists of some helpful materials to use for your fundraising stand event; some materials included are a 2ft X 3ft ALSF banner, a childhood cancer poster, thank you notes, a checks payable sign, childhood cancer facts, adult and child speaking points and a return envelope for proceeds. Of course being a part of Lemonade Days is a special experience and we appreciate everyone who is apart of Lemonade Days! As a token of our appreciation, there are some special goodies in each Lemonade Days box for your fundraising stand event, but we can't tell you what that is, it is a surprise!

What is Lemonade Days?

Lemonade Days is Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation's (ALSF) annual  national weekend fundraising endeavor. Each year volunteers from all over the country hold a fundraising stand event during the second weekend  of June, appropriately coined Lemonade Days. Lemonade Days began when Alex herself began holding her own lemonade stands in her front year to raise money for all kids with cancer. Alex  held her lemonade stand each year until cancer ultimately took her life and, like Alex, each year we have a goal of raising $1 million dollars for all kids with cancer throughout our Lemonade Days weekend!
