An Alex’s Coffee House Talent Show event is a great way to get your school, college, or community group involved in the battle against childhood cancer. The event can be a cabaret-type show with singers, dancers, poetry readings, and other musical or theater performances. In addition to the performances, your group can also sell baked goods, coffee, hot chocolate, lemonade, raffle tickets, or even have a silent auction. It is a fun and creative way for students and groups to help spread awareness and raise funds for ALSF!
Some easy steps to planning your own Alex’s Coffee House Talent Show:
- Pick a date and location: Choose a date for your event, and decide where you want to have it. Consider a location that works well for performances like your school’s theater.
- Register your Alex’s Coffee House Talent Show: Click on Register Now and register your coffee house event. When you register, we will create a personal fundraising page for you. This can be used to invite friends and family and to take donations directly to your event!

- Plan: Inside the Coffee House Talent Show packet, there is a detailed list of suggested tips to organize your event, such as who might get involved, ideas for promoting your coffee house, planning and setting up your event, and how to raise funds for ALSF.
- Spread the word: Be sure to notify your family, friends, classmates, and community that you’re organizing an ALSF Coffee House Talent Show. Get creative! You can make posters, banners, or fliers to help spread the word about your event.
