Bake Sale

Having a bake sale is a great way to raise additional funds and awareness for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. Whether it is including goodies at your lemonade stand, or holding a bake sale event on it’s own, this is an easy and fun way to join the battle against childhood cancer.

In order to get started all you need to do is pick date, time and location for your event. After you have worked out all the logistics, make sure to register on our website. The next step is to plan your event; if you are having a bake sale as your main event, you should choose who will bake what tasty treat. You can be as creative as you would like with your desserts, why not have a lemon- flavor theme and see what everyone whips up! After everyone has their dessert ready, sell your baked goods individually or collectively, it is all up to you! Like we suggest for lemonade stands, donation prices are entirely up to you. Although Alex suggested giving whatever you can, you can set a price if you would like, after all it is YOUR event!

Coffee House

A coffee house event is a great way to get your school or community group involved in the battle against childhood cancer. The event can be a cabaret-type show with singers, dancers, poetry readings, and other musical or theater performances.  In addition to the performances, your group can also sell baked goods, coffee, hot chocolate, lemonade, raffle tickets or ever have a silent auction.  For more information, check out our coffee house guide!

Alex’s Lemonade Stand at Your Wedding

Show your support for childhood cancer by including Alex’s Lemonade Stand at your wedding.  You can create a fundraising page to tell your guests to bring donations to the big day, or even that you are accepting donations in lieu of gifts.  Alternatively, the bride and groom can donate to the foundation in lieu of wedding favors for their guests.

If you want to go all out, why not have a lemon theme throughout your wedding with a lemon cake, lemon centerpieces, or an Alex’s Lemonade Stand table that guests can visit to learn more about your chosen charity.  On the table you can include foundation information, photos, the Alex’s documentary, and childhood cancer facts. You might even consider serving lemonade or lemon flavored drinks.  During a speech, mention why you feel the fight against childhood cancer is important. We also have small table top cards you can request from the foundation to let your guests know that your wedding is supporting the cause.  Contact Cara Salladino for more information.
 

Birthdays

For your next birthday have an Alex’s Lemonade Stand themed event!  You can serve lemonade or hold a stand, celebrate with a lemon cake, and ask for donations instead of birthday gifts.  You might also want to give out items from our gift shop as party favors and decorate with yellow.  Plus, you will receive a special birthday pack when you register!
