One year gone and another begins.

Greetings from Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. Please accept our apology for not keeping our journal up to date. We are going to start updating the journal every other week.

The Foundation finished 2006 on a high note as we reached our goal of raising $5 million dollars for childhood cancer. Thanks to all of you wo helped make this possible.

2006 was filled with many highs and lows. En route to raising the $5 million dollars we were lucky to have over 4,000 lemonade events hosted by over 50,000 volunteers across the country and around the world.

We learned the sad news of many children we know whose cancer relapsed. The reality of childhood cancer is that too many of these children do not survive. The losses in 2006 included a friend of Alex’s named Christi Thomas. Christi, who met Alex at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, battled her canc...
