Our son Mario was diagnosed at the age of 4 with inoperable brain tumors in December of 2007 . We were told the worst news no parent ever wanted to hear . " Your son has brain tumors & he has 3 months to live . At that very moment our lives changed forever ! The first year & a half were so rough due to the affects of chemotherapy . The chemo gave Mario a hip infection which caused him not to walk and kept him inpatient for 2 weeks . After a year and half  of chemo another tumor had grown . Mario needed to go to the hospital  every  week for chemo with no breaks in between . Then his port gets infected & causes him to have surgery due to the severe infection it caused . Mario was still going strong even though the chemo was making him weak . As we were  getting towards the end of this chemo , another tumor had grown . Now what ??? Here we go again change of plans ,, different chemo . This time he couldn't eat his favorite food , eat his chocolate chip cookies or drink milk . Mario hasn't given up fighting this horrible disease .. He's been chemo free for 2 years in March  . His tumors remain stable and we continue to pray that they remain stable . He continues to get MRI'S every 3 months to keep an eye on the tumors. Mario's tumors can grow at any time . That's why it is so important to us to raise money for a cure . No child should ever have to suffer or fight to live their life . Mario also has lost so many friends to this disease we raise money In memory of our sweet Leah , Jenna , Lenny , Christopher , John , Shayla , Caitlyn , Raechel and Danny  and in Honor of our hometown Hero's Mario , Maddie , Jake , Mary and all the kids fighting for a cure ...
