United StatesTo know Zoe is to enjoy the love and light that resonate her gifts of compassion, kindness, and caring. She always wants to help everyone, and make everyone happy. This is why she has chosen to spend the afternoon of her 12th birthday raising money for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation. Many years ago our dear friends, the Zwebens, introduced us to ALSF, a cause that took root in their community. Now, millions of cups of lemonade and millions of dollars later, this wonderful foundation is a source of hope and gratitude for families of children battling childhood cancer.
One simple idea, a world of change: Alex Scott, while herself battling cancer, took the “simple” idea of holding a lemonade stand and combined it with the cause of childhood cancer, unknowingly becoming the catalyst for something much larger than she had imagined.
Kids helping kids: The concept of “fighting childhood cancer, one cup at a time” has allowed people who would not usually participate in fundraising, especially children, to raise money and awareness for childhood cancer. Lemonade Stands allow children to be a part of the change. This is our family's fifth annual stand, and we are proud to help continue the fight.
A simple but powerful lesson: Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation believes that every person can make a difference in the world. Please, join us in making a difference!
Alex Scott never reached her twelfth birthday, but others will because of Alex's vision, and your generosity.
