WE RUN THE CITY 5k/10k - LOS ANGELES  

We Run the City 5k/10k, held on the UCLA Campus, Sunday, November 19, 2017:  Please join us as we support pediatric cancer research and the fight against childhood cancer!  

TWO OPTIONS

1)  Join "Lemons on the Loose" and become a member of TEAM LEMON - ALSF's charity racing team! Click the tab "Join the team!" located on the right hand side of this page. When selecting a race, choose "Other" and type "We Run the City."

For those unable to join us on Nov. 19th, feel free to run virtually, while sporting your new TEAM LEMON shirt and raising awareness for the cause!

2)  Select a TEAM LEMON member (or group) from the drop box menu, located on the right hand side of this page, and donate on their behalf! 

Important note regarding Option #1 above:  For those plannning to participate in Los Angeles at the We Run the City 5k/10k on Nov. 19th, please remember to register as an individual for race day and bring your own (BYO) bib!  Click here for race registration: http://tinyurl.com/moe8mpc --  The earlier you register, the lower the cost.  All registration fees/race slot purchases benefit the Special Olympics of Southern California.

FACTS:  Every year, an estimated 250,000 new cases of cancer affect children under the age of 20 worldwide.  That's almost 700 new kids affected every day.  And yet, childhood cancer is vastly and consistently underfunded.  Less than 5% of the federal government's total funding for cancer research is dedicated to childhood cancers each year.

Kids with cancer don't have time to wait.  Your donation will go to research seeking lifesaving treatment, and the money you give has the potential to make an enormous difference for these kids and their families.  Thank you for your support!
