Fighting childhood cancer with Ed Hennessey
Thank you for coming to our page. Ally and her family are hosting a lemonade stand to help raise money for Childhood Cancer research. Our original goal of $400 was already blown away by many generous donors. A big thank you to all of you! While we met our original goal, now her goal is to triple it both with donations online and at the event this Saturday. Ally was diagnosed at age 2 with an optic pathway glioma. It is an inoperable brain tumor that is slowly diminishing her eyesight. Ally has received chemotherapy since she was 3-years-old. She is currently on her 5th protocol as the previous ones failed to control the tumor and her vision has continued to worsen. The Hennessey family knows how little funding childhood cancer research receives. They decided to host a lemonade stand so they could raise money to help Ally and many of her friends - some of whom have passed away after battling cancer. Ally’s lemonade stand will take place during the Wildwood Subdivision neighborhood garage sale. The Hennessey family is inviting shoppers and sellers alike to stop by, cool off and hopefully raise awareness of the need for childhood cancer research.
