I became involved in fundraising after learning about childhood cancer from a dear friend of mine. Her son is now 16 years cancer free, and a true hero. Although he conquered cancer, he deals with so many side-effects from the treatments which saved him. Together, we have been raising awareness and raising funds to not only show our support in our local area, but also to help raise funds for more research and hopefully one day a cure!
