Hello friends, It is getting close to that time of year again. The 2010 Alex's Amazing Lemonade Grand Stand is rapidly approaching this coming SATURDAY June 12th at the Irvine Spectrum Center from 11:00 to 7:00. PLEASE NOTE - WE WILL BE IN THE CAROUSEL COURT THIS YEAR (not by the ferris wheel). We look forward to this family friendly event every year. First off, it allows us to keep the memory of John Kelly Taggart alive by hosting this stand in his memory. We held our first stand in 2005 after reading Alex and the Amazing Lemonade Stand book. It was John's idea to host a stand sending all the money to the ALSF (Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation) to find a cure for the Neuroblastoma cancer both he and Alex bravely battled. The second reason we love hosting a stand is because we can raise both awareness and funds to research the cure to the rare cancer called Neuroblastoma. Finally, our Grand stand is an unbelievable amount of fun. Each year the event grows and more as more sponsors join in. This year is no exception. This year again will feature gallons of Country Time Lemonade, Sweet Life Cookies, a juggling stilt walker, Balloons, and the Orange County Fire Authority Fire Engines on SATURDAY June 12th, 2010. It is refreshing and encouraging to see how the businesses, community and friends are rallying behind this worthwhile cause. Won't you please join us and be a part of something special?
