Kenny Herriot is one of the world's leading wheelchair athletes, breaking the British Record for the marathon in 2005. He became disabled in 2000 as the result of a motorcycle accident. Having previously been a successful fitness instructor he was determined to regain his fitness.
Beginning at the end of April in San Francisco, Kenny began his journey to hand-cyle across America to raise funds and awareness for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation and the battle against childhood cancer. Though it would be a huge challenge, and one which would push Kenny to his limits, he felt it was a great way to give back.
There were certainly bumps along the way, but we are proud to report that Kenny finished his journey on time in New York City on June 7, 2009.
