Since he was 3 years old, P.J. begged us to hold a lemonade stand to help "the sick kids on TV." Ever so often he would pull out the cooler and load it with cups, napkins and pitchers from the pantry and pretend to serve lemonade for "those kids." After purchasing a bottle of Alex's Lemonade on vacation, we knew it was a sign to finally give in to P.J.'s request and organize a stand.
On President's Day 2009, P.J. and his sister Gracie, along with volunteers from our local Mom's Club, hosted our first Alex's Lemonade Stand on our driveway. Almost $1,300 was raised to help end childhood cancer. We are so appreciative to everyone who made this possible!
