Thank you for your support! This is our 6th Year! We are trying new things! The Whole Foods Market on Wade Avenue in Raleigh, NC has selected us to be the featured organization for their Community Spotlight during the month of May 2010. This means that all of the money that is collected in the donation boxes located at their cash registers in May will be donated to the Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation. We are also going to have the opportunity to setup an informational table at their store one weekday in May - Friday, May 14!
Next, the Durham Bulls Baseball team have allowed us to participate in a ticket fundraising event. We are selling tickets to the Sunday, July 25, 2010 game. The game is at 5:05 p.m. at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park in Durham, NC. Tickets are $9.00, half of which will go to the Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation. They are reserving us a section to all sit together. They will also put a mention of the "6th Annual Wake Forest Alex's Lemonade Stand" on the right field video board. We are also able to setup a informational table during the game! If ANYONE is interested in purchasing tickets, please call Cindy at (919) 528-3768 or (919) 332-8058 or email me at cjl528@yahoo.com. I will get the vouchers to you and you bring the vouchers to the game. They will have a table setup for us to turn the vouchers in to get your tickets. One good thing is they give us undated vouchers to give to you. So, if for some reason, you cannot make the July 25th game, you can attend ANY Sunday - Thursday game this season. Just bring the vouchers to the ticket office and they will exchange them for the best available seats. So if you go to the Durham Bulls A LOT, please buy ALL your tickets from me and half of your money will go to help kids with cancer!
We will be holding a lemonade stand at the Super Wal-Mart at 2114 S. Main St. in Wake Forest, NC on September 18, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Please stop by and see us and support us!
Also, later this year we will be hosting a Flapjack Fundraiser at the Applebee's in Wake Forest, North Carolina - 11805 Retail Drive. It will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2010 from 7 a.m. - 10 a.m. Tickets will be $7.00 for a pancake breakfast. All profits go directly to the Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation. What a fun way to spend a Saturday morning for such a great cause - Pancakes to help Pediatric Cancer Research! Buy a ticket and come on out to Applebee's on November 6th and help kids with cancer.
