Presidents' Day 2013 is nearly upon us and once again it is time to gather to celebrate the legacy of Alex Scott. By the time she died of cancer at age 8, Alex had already raised over $1,000,000 to help her hospital friends fight their own grueling battles with cancer.
Begun in Peoria in 2009 as a tribute to the young girl he never knew (and as a way of finally being able to stage THAT lemonade stand), P.J. Bartos committed to raising $50,000 for ALSF (by the time he graduates high school). So, here we are ... blessed once again to have the generous support of our Arizona family ... ready to help the kids get pouring. The goal is still huge - even by a 9-year old's standards, but we realize how much good even one dollar does. Through the end of 2012, P.J. and Friends have raised about $14,000 in and around the desert.
Today, children around the country are being cured of the horrible disease that took Alex's life less than 10 years ago.
