As a result of our involvement with FIRST we have taught our students that it is important to give back to their community through service. After researching charities in the area, Alex's story touched all of our hearts and as a team, we decided to raise funds to conquer Childhood Cancer. To date we have raised $3683.26 for ALSF.

 Jesterade Lemonade Stand/Car Wash

On these dates we will be hosting an Alex's Lemonade Stand in conjunction with a car wash to raise funds for the UDHS Robotics & Engineering Team.  Times subject to change due to weather conditions.  Stay tuned for updates as the dates near.

Members of the UDHS Robotics & Engineering team will be attending:  Alex's "Original" Lemonade Stand, where the dream began and continues as a promise of hope for all children and families touched by childhood cancer, will return on Saturday, June 12, 2010, from 10AM-3PM, in Alex's neighborhood of Wynnewood, Pennsylvania. Last year, Alex's "Original" Lemonade Stand raised over $100,000!

This year, as we celebrate the 10th anniversary of Alex’s very first stand, family, friends, community leaders and local celebrities will come together for a fun-filled day of remembrance. The event will take place at the elementary school that Alex attended, Penn Wynne and will feature food, games, live music and a butterfly release. Other dates for car washes are:

June 26,  July 3, July 10, July 17, July 24, July 31 & August 14.
