I am running a 50K on November 10, 2012. At first I signed up for the run as a personal challenge to myself. However, after looking through my old bookmarks, I saw the Alex Lemonade Stand Foundation page. I remembered that when I bookmarked the page that I wanted to run for her foundation but I was not registered for a race at the time. Well I am registered for one now.

I first heard about the Foundation on a t.v. show (I think it was Real Sports w/Bryant Gumbel) and was moved by the courage and bravery of Alex. That she chose to help others. Her Foundations website can more eloquently explain her life and goals, I would not do it justice. What I can do with the support of friends, family and coworkers is raise money to help her Foundation achieve its goals. So donate two dollars / one dollar / or fifty cents for ever kilometer I am going to run. Every bit helps and know that it is going to an amazing cause.
