When my Grandma Mary was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year, I knew that for my Mitzvah project I wanted to raise money to help fund cancer research.  I discovered Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation which raises money and awareness of childhood cancer causes.  They primarily research new treatments and cures. Since I'm having my "lemonade" stand in December, I decided lemonade might not sell very well. I will be selling hot chocolate and baked goods instead. Please come if possible.
