A 10-year-old cancer survivor in Lexington is hosting a lemonade stand today as part of the national 'Alex's Lemonade Days' fundraiser. Money raised in Lexington and across the country will help fight childhood cancer.

Conner Honneycutt will sell lemonade in the Rookwood neighborhood. Organizers say his stand will be at the corner of Rookwood Parkway and Croyden Court, from 11am to 3:30 pm.

Conner's family says he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia at age 2. They say he then went through 3-years and 3-months of chemotherapy and other treatments. And on June 26, Conner will hit his 5-year cancer-free and chemo-free mark.

Founded by Alex Scott (1996-2004) in 2004, Alex's Lemonade Days is a three-day national event that grew out of Alex's front yard lemonade stand. During Alex's Lemonade Days, dedicated volunteers host thousands of Alex's Lemonade Stands across the country, raising over $1 million for childhood cancer research.
