EAST NORRITON — The reporters sat quietly in small chairs in three rows asking questions in turn and writing furiously with pencils when Liz Scott answered their questions.
It was the first time Scott, the co-executive director of the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, had answered students’ questions in a press-conference style format.
That was how Cole Manor Elementary School kindergarten teacher Natalie Detwiler had arranged the group interview for a chapter in the upcoming, student-produced book, “Leading Healthy Change in our Communities.” The Healthy Newsworks organization is producing the book this spring.
The third and fourth-grade students are this year’s Cole Manor’ reportorial staff for the “Cole Manor Healthy Comet.”
