In an effort to raise visibility for the National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation is going the distance fighting childhood cancer this September by launching Alex’s Million Mile Run Walk and Ride.

Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation started on the front lawn of young cancer patient Alexandra “Alex” Scott back in 2000, when the then 4-year-old announced she wanted to raise money to help “find a cure for all children with cancer.” True to her word, she held her first lemonade stand with the help of her older brother and raised an amazing $2,000 for her own hospital. But she wasn’t done.
