You know the old saying, when life hands you lemons, you cure cancer. Well that was the take away for one girl diagnosed with cancer, and it's spread into a nationwide effort to raise money for cancer research.
This weekend you can help, too, right here in the Mid-South, just by buying a glass of lemonade at Southern Thunder Harley Davidson in Southaven. It's a fundraiser for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, which all started with one lemonade stand set up by a little girl diagnosed with childhood cancer. She and her brother set up the stand to raise money. It exploded into a movement that continues today.
