Farmers will rev their tractor engines, and kids will peddle with all their might when the sixth annual Pullin' for Kids fundraiser takes off Saturday, July 11.

The event, inspired by one boy's battle, aims to support research into pediatric spinal cord tumors.

In the past five years, nearly $100,000 has been raised, as residents and business of Lowell and Alto areas have come together for the farm-themed event.

"It's overwhelming to see people we don't even know offer to help," said Jennifer Fuss.

And now that the fundraiser is teamed with Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, it has generated many thousands more in matching dollars.
