To the group of local kids who recently hosted an Alex's Lemonade Stand. The kids set up the stand in front of Leo's Pizza in the Town of Wappinger.

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation is a nonprofit organization that raises funds for childhood cancer research. Participants can raise money by holding their own lemonade stand, among other activities.

The first such stand was hosed by Alexandra Scott, a child with neuroblastoma, a type of childhood cancer. She wanted to raise money to find a cure for childhood cancer.

The Wappinger stand was manned by Ava Krakower, and siblings Gabriella and Nick Pugliese and Emma and Alex Labodin, all between the ages of 6 to 8 years old, and their mothers.
