In her continuing efforts to battle back against childhood cancer, young actress & ALSF spokesperson, Bailee Madison will host an Alex’s Lemonade Stand on Saturday, January 7, 2012 from 2-4PM at The BLUEDOG School Of Acting For Kids, 6909 W. Broward Boulevard in Plantation, FL 33317.
Bailee, known for her starring roles in "Just Go With It" and "Don't Be Afraid Of the Dark" will pass out lemonade to attendees while also meeting fans and signing autographs. In addition to taking a stand in Florida, Bailee has also hosted Alex’s Lemonade Stands in Atlanta, Los Angeles and New York City and was honored at Variety’s 2011 Power of Youth Awards for her work on behalf of the Foundation.
Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) emerged from the front yard lemonade stand of cancer patient Alexandra “Alex” Scott (1996-2004). In 2000, 4-year-old Alex announced that she wanted to hold a lemonade stand to raise money to help find a cure for all children with cancer. Since Alex held that first stand, the Foundation bearing her name has evolved into a national fundraising movement, complete with thousands of volunteers across the country carrying on her legacy of hope. To date, Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, a registered 501(c)3 charity, has raised more than $50 million toward fulfilling Alex’s dream of finding a cure, funding over 200 research projects nationally.
