Jeff Hendrix, I pray you never have to go through anything as heart-wrenching and fearful as what you had to endure with your daughter in her early years. But I'm glad the cancer is gone and Carolyn -I'm telling you, they don't get any cuter - your little 6-year-old is cancer free.

You did all you could, Jeff. You and your wife Kathryn. You got her the best care available. You traveled to wherever you needed to be. You were at the side of the little fighter when she was forced to endure those 17 horrible rounds of chemotherapy. You saw her weak and fragile and without her beautiful blonde hair. And I know you would have given anything to take the pain yourself, instead of having it ravage your tiny daughter.

It was so nice to see her at your home earlier this month, even though she was way bored being interviewed. But she's 6. She wanted to play. And as a Dad of three grown children, it's nice to see kids want to do nothing but play.

Jeff, you're an inspiration. Not just because the way you stuck by your daughter. But by the way you're standing up for other daughters and other sons. You could quit now with all the cancer stuff. But you don't. You've made it your mission to get other men like you to take up the cancer fight and get more involved. You lobby Dads to do more. You still maintain the Praying For Carolyn Facebook page, where you not only give information about your daughter's brave battle, but on all the cancer news and information people might need. Your family was recently chosen as the Hero Family Florida Representatives for the Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, and last week, with Carolyn leading the way, you guys raised more than $7,000 for the fight against pediatric cancer.
