HAVERFORD --- Two middle schools in the school district will compete in the 9th annual Potter Cup Friday and raise money for Alex’s Lemonade Stand.
The competition will take place at Haverford High School with students and teachers joining in a pep-rally before competitions between the wrestling teams and boys’ and girls’ basketball teams.
“The Potter Cup” will then be awarded to the school that wins two out of three of the sporting competitions.
Along with the sports related festivities, there will be food, games, prizes for children of all ages, and. of course. lemonade. In a show of solidarity to cancer victims, a number of students and faculty members will shave their heads for donations to the cause.
