On May 12, the fourth annual FORBES Women's Summit kicked off in New York City. After a performance from the women of the Cathedral High School marching band and opening words from Moira Forbes, the first panel got underway. US UN Ambassador Samantha Power discussed diplomacy and how we can't separate ourselves from international crises.
CNN anchor Alisyn Camerota moderated a panel with New America CEO Anne-Marie Slaughter, Judith Rodin, president of The Rockefeller Foundation, Deanna Mulligan, CEO Guardina Life Insurance and Blendoor CEO Stephanie Lampkin. They spoke about changes in the workplace, ranging from new tech to millennial employees. After Liz Scott of Alex's Lemonade Stand accepted the Impact Award from Volvo USA, Steve Forbes welcomed Sarah Jessica Parker to the stage to talk about her work as an actress, activist and entrepreneur.
