SARASOTA - Kylie White told herself she wasn't going to cry. But when she walked into a fundraiser to help her daughter fight cancer, she couldn't hold back her tears.

Miaya, her 3-year-old daughter, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia on Feb. 25. On Saturday, several hundred people came out for the Second Annual Sarasota Lemonade Stand for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, which set out to raise $5,000 for Miaya's family and $8,000 for cancer research.
