Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer

Suzanne Goin, Caroline Styne and David Lentz Rally America’s Top Chefs and Mixologists for 2nd Annual Event to Help Fight Childhood Cancer

LOS ANGELES, CA (October 2011) —Chef Suzanne Goin, partner Caroline Styne (Lucques, A.O.C., Tavern) along with Chef David Lentz (The Hungry Cat), are proud to announced the 2011 Host Committee for the L.A. Loves Alex’s Lemonade Culinary Cookout presented by Volvo with support from Activision and Paramount Citrus. Among the host committee members will be emcee for the evening Jimmy Kimmel, auctioneer Viveca Paulin-Ferrell and her husband Will Ferrell, actresses Connie Britton, Carla Gugino, Kirsten Vangsness, Laura Dern and Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation Spokesperson Bailee Madison, among several others. Neil Patrick Harris and his partner, David Burtka, will act as honorary chairpersons (for a complete list of Host Committee Members, click here).

For the second annual event, Goin, Styne and Lentz have again enlisted the support and generosity of their culinary friends from around the country to donate their time and talents to raise funds and awareness for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF). The cookout, scheduled for Sunday, November 6, 2011 from 12 – 4PM at Culver Studios, is slated to include renowned chefs John Besh, Michael Cimarusti, April Bloomfield, Jon Shook & Vinny Dotolo, Michael Tusk, Susan Spicer, Marc Vetri, Jonathan Waxman and many more. For foodies hoping to add to their culinary experience, Premier Tickets can be purchased for $1,200 and include early admission, special seating and an exclusive Meet-And-Greet dinner the night before prepared by Nancy Silverton and Marc Vetri. All other participating chefs will be in attendance at the Meet-And-Greet dinner, which will take place at the home of Silverton.

Along with inviting food and wine lovers from all corners of the globe for an afternoon of fantastic fare, cocktails for a cause, a lemonade stand sponsored by Daily Grill, and live auctions, L.A. Loves Alex’s Lemonade also embraces the attendance of children. With Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation’s continuing mission of providing kids with a way to help other kids, the picnic atmosphere will invite families to enjoy the afternoon together with various kids activities including Klub Gymnastics. Children are welcome to accompany their parents to the Sunday festivities and those under 10 receive complimentary admission.

In addition to the Premier Ticket Level, General Admission tickets are available for $175, and VIP tickets which include early entry and special seating at the $400 level.
