Harry Rose of The Rose Group will be honored for his efforts in helping to raise $2.4 million for the organization over the past six years.
Harry Rose of The Rose Group, which operates Applebee’s in Newtown, will be honored by Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation this weekend at the organization’s annual gala, the Lemon Ball.
Rose will be awarded the 2012 Alex Scott Crystal Cup by the organization, which raises money to fight pediatric cancer. Over the past six years, The Rose Group has raised more than $2.4 million for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.
“For the past six years, The Rose Group, under the leadership of Chairman Harry Rose, has made it a priority to see Alex's dream of eradicating childhood cancer come to life,” said Gillian Kocher, a spokesperson for Alex’s Lemonade Stand.
The Rose Group, which operates 59 Applebee's restaurants and four Corner Bakery Cafés in the region, was one of the first Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation sponsors to hold in-store fundraising campaigns.
