babyGap Partners with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation to Launch an Exclusive Collection Benefitting the Fight Against Childhood Cancer

One hundred percent of net profits from select pieces will be donated to the Foundation*

NEW YORK, May 2016 – This summer, babyGap is partnering with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF), the organization dedicated to curing childhood cancer, to launch an exclusive collection of baby and toddler apparel comprised of summer essentials for boys and girls including onesies, tees, dresses and swim trunks featuring whimsical designs evoking the cheerfulness of lemons.

The collection also includes a selection of six tees and onesies with the message “When Life Gives You Lemons…Make a Lemonade Stand.” One hundred percent of profits from sales of these six pieces will be donated to ALSF to fund the organization’s mission of raising money and awareness of childhood cancer causes, primarily for research into new treatments and cures, and to encourage and empower others, especially children, to get involved and make a difference for children with cancer.

The babyGap partnership with ALSF was motivated by the extraordinary story of the organization’s beginnings. ALSF emerged from the front yard lemonade stand of cancer patient Alexandra “Alex” Scott (1996-2004). In 2000, 4-year-old Alex announced that she wanted to hold a lemonade stand to raise money to help find a cure for all children with cancer. Her stand would eventually grow into a namesake foundation with thousands of supporters across the country championing her cause.

The collection launches May 23 on Gap.com and select Gap stores around the world. Prices range from $12.95 for leggings and onesies to $36.95 for dresses. Teees and onesies featuring the message “When Life Gives You Lemons…Make a Lemonade Stand” are priced between $14.95 and $16.95.
