Sacking Childhood Cancer at Saturday’s 7th Annual Lemon Bowl Flag Football Tournament

Horsham, PA. (October 21, 2015) -  The 7th Annual Lemon Bowl Tournament to support Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) is a unique and healthy way for individuals and organizations to have fun playing flag football and join the fight against childhood cancer.

Cancer is the leading cause of death by disease in children under the age of 15 in the United States. Although ALSF has donated millions of dollars to support research, childhood cancer research remains vastly and consistently underfunded. The Lemon Bowl Tournament’s mission is to raise funds and awareness of the disease and “take our (relatively) healthy bodies to the gridirons of the football field to get dirty and raise money.”

The Lemon Bowl has raised over $40,000 in the last 2 years. This year over 30 teams are registered to play in three divisions for varying ages and abilities: Competitive, Casual and Kids. Appearances from Philadelphia Eagles cheerleaders and the Philadelphia Soul mascot are scheduled. Spectators, fans and media are invited to attend and cheer on the teams fighting for childhood cancer.
