Players from the World Series Champion Kansas City Royals will appear in the community throughout the week. Today several players, coaches, broadcasters and Royals alumni appeared at a breakfast for what became a rain-cancelled Royals Charities Golf Tournament. This Saturday, Eric Hosmer and Danny Duffy will make appearances at the Noah's Bandage Project 5K, and Alex Gordon will stop by the second annual Alex Gordon Classic. Saturday, April 23 -- Baltimore Orioles vs. Royals, 6:15 p.m.
Alex Gordon to Appear at Youth Tournament -- The second annual Alex Gordon Classic to beneft the Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation will take place April 22-24, and the left fielder will make an appearance on Saturday. Starting at 11 a.m., Gordon will speak to the 120 teams from across the Midwest who participate in the tournament, then meet the top four teams who raised the most money for the Foundation leading up to the event. Later that night, the top two fundraising teams will watch Royals batting practice and will be on-field before the game with Papa John's, who will present a check from the proceeds from the 2015 Alex Gordon Double Deal.
