Sisters Hannah and Brooklyn Beighley will host their fifth annual Alex’s Lemonade Stand to help fight childhood cancer from 9 a.m to 3 p.m. Saturday at 2950 Morefield Road, Hermitage.
The girls were inspired to get involved with the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation after hearing about Alexandra “Alex” Scott. Childhood cancer is a cause that is close to home for the girls’ family since their mother is a survivor of childhood cancer.
The sisters held a lemonade stand of their own in 2011 and have raised almost $10,000 since. They have set a goal of raising $1,000 this year for the foundation.
