Greensboro, NC -- Saturday, September 3rd, shop, get a glass of lemonade and help childhood cancer all at the same time.
Alex's Lemonade Stand will be set up outside the Old Navy at the University Shopping Center in Burlington.
The lemonade stand will be additionally special as it will be a Strawberry Shortcake Alex's Lemonade Stand. ALSF and Strawberry Shortcake are teaming up to raise awareness of childhood cancer during September by inviting volunteers to host lemonade stands. As an added incentive, Strawberry Shortcake will directly donate $50.00 to Alex's Lemonade Stand in honor of each stand host.
Jolene Cannady is a registered Nurse and will be running the lemonade stand in Burlington Saturday. She has worked with pediatric oncology patients in the past. Cannady stopped by the Good Morning Show Friday to tell us more about the event and why it's so close to her heart.
The Alamance County Alex's Lemonade Stand is Saturday, September 3rd from 11am-5pm. It will be outside the Old Navy on 1453 University Boulevard in Burlington.
