A West Jordan family, who has been personally affected by childhood cancer is continuing their quest to help find a cure.... with the help of lemonade.

Kristen Torres and young cancer survivor, BRINLEY, stopped by to talk about Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation.

Appropriately entitled, Sweet Brinley's Grand Stand, the fundraising afternoon will be held in honor of 5-year-old Brinley Torres, a childhood cancer fighter.

Brinley was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia one week after her second birthday in September of 2008. She went through over 50 rounds of chemotherapy in a treatment plan that lasted over 2 years. Brinley finished her treatment in November of 2010 at the age of 4. The Torres family began holding their lemonade stands while Brinley was battling cancer. They had heard the story of Alex and wanted to be involved with the fight against childhood cancer. Now with four healthy girls, the Torres family feels that it is no longer about their daughter, but about the children who are currently fighting cancer and those will face the disease in the future. They hope to grow each year and continue raising funds and awareness until each child is promised a cure.

Along with lemonade and food, the Torres Family Grand Stand is slated to include various family friendly activities for children of all ages. Among the activities on the agenda: face painting, a bounce house, giveaways, a raffle, coloring and crafts, balloons and much more. The day will also include a DJ, a Zumba for Kids activity, and a Karate demonstration/activity.
