A Wyomissing company recently presented an $84,000 check to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, a nonprofit that raises money and awareness for pediatric cancer.

Triose Inc., a health care logistics management firm based in Wyomissing, has begun a partnership with the foundation and plans to keep on donating.

The $84,000 represents a portion of its clients' collective savings generated from Triose programs. Triose matches that figure and gives the funds to the foundation.

The company has decided to make Alex's Lemonade Stand its charity of choice, which means Triose will also be engaging its employees in different fundraising initiatives to help support the cause.

The Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation grew out of the late Alexandra "Alex" Scott's idea to start a lemonade stand to raise money to help find cures for childhood cancer.

Since Alex's first lemonade stand, the national foundation sharing her name has raised more than $100 million toward finding cures.
