Sheryl Garton first heard about Alex’s Lemonade Stand from a friend whose children held a stand in NJ in 2005 and was touched by the story. As the years went by, Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation grew and stands began to pop up around the country. In 2007, Sheryl and her family were relocated to the Philadelphia area and settled in the same community as the Scott family. She often heard Alex’s story and saw the sign go up on the new headquarters just as she was in the thick of a career change. After many years as an account executive followed by several years of being home full time to raise her three children, Sheryl wanted to find a job that would have a positive impact and inspire her to go to work every day. She felt that her many years of professional sales experience, combined with her love of fundraising and volunteering would enable her to be a passionate contributor to Alex’s mission. When offered the position of Special Events Manager, Sheryl knew she had found the right opportunity and is honored to be a part of the ALSF team.
