Shirley Moy was born and raised in New York City and has worked with non-profits ever since she graduated from college. Shirley’s first job was with the Cammy Lee Leukemia Foundation, where she recruited potential donors for patients in need of a life saving marrow and/or stem cell transplant. Next she moved on to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s NYC Chapter. As their Patient Aid Coordinator, Shirley developed a rapport with patients while providing them aid for their costly and grueling treatments. After a few years, she decided to find new opportunities in Philadelphia, where her fiancé (now husband) lives. The first job she applied for was with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, and was thrilled when offered the position of Resource & Program Manager. She is honored to be a part of such a wonderful organization and hopes to continue making a difference for patients and families touched by childhood cancer.
