My cousin, Erin, gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Avery Megonigal, who at 5 months was diagnosed with A L L cancer. Avery lost her battle at 17 months of age in Sept 2007. Several months later, Erin inquired about starting a family and sought medical counsel. Being told medically and statisically it would be impossible for this to happen again, a new family was in the planning. To everyones joy TWIN boys arrived, Calvin and Nolan Megonigal. At 4 months of age Nolan was diagnosed with the same
A L L cancer and passed away March 2009. Alex's Lemonade, as well as Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) have helped Erin tremedously through these very dreadful and heartbreaking times. The family members and friends living in Florida would like to introduce Alex's Lemonade Stand to our area. Raise awareness through Alex's Lemonade Stand and raise funds for those precious children and families in need of help. Bay Pines Marina and our local blood bank, Florida Blood Services as well as couple local businesses are partnering and supporting our efforts. If you are unable to stop by Sat. August 8 for a cup of lemonade and make a donation, please make you donation online. Stop by and meet Erin and Calvin as they are coming in from PA to be at the event.

What a Day
A VERY HOT Florida Day. Many friends and family helped all during the day. So thankful to those who donated and to those you helped. Quite an experience for us all. My heart was with Avery and Nolan every moment.
