Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation

As Rich and I prepare for our wedding on June 13, 2009, we have an additional focus in mind. The weekend of June 12-14, 2009 is the 6th Annual 'Lemonade Days' for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation. During these days, dedicated volunteers host thousands of Alex's Lemonade Stands across the country - this is the same weekend Alex held her original lemonade stands. Each year, Lemonade Days raises over $1 Million for childhood cancer research.

The story about Alex is an inspiration -- the stories of the thousands of suffering children are heartbreaking. To honor Alex; to help make a difference for all those suffering now and to hopefully protect our own children in the future, Rich and I have a proposition for you. In lieu of favors, Rich and I have decided to give back to such a worthy cause by donating the money we had set aside for favors to ALSF. We are hoping you, our closest friends and family, will be able to join us in the fight against childhood cancer. Along with this donation we have incorporated Alex's story and mission into many items throughout the day -- be alert!
