Alex's Million Mile Badge Program
New this year, we're introducing Alex's Million Mile Badges to recognize and reward your progress during the Journey to a Million. The Badges are designed to inspire and encourage you to reach your goals, share your progress, and spread the word about childhood cancer awareness. Badges will be awarded automatically; if you’re signed up for Alex’s Million Mile, there’s nothing else you have to do!

Q. What are the badges types?
A. There are three badge types:
- Campaign Badges
- Fundraising Badges
- Mileage Badges
Q. How can I earn them?
A. There are several ways you can earn badges:
1. Upload a photo to your team’s wall
2. Share your page from the Social Media icons on your fundraising page
3. Email friends to join the team using the “Invite Friends” section of your pages’ fundraising tools
4. Reach your mileage goal
5. Receive five donations on your behalf
1. Raise $100 in donations
2. Raise $500 in donations
3. Raise $1,000 in donations
4. Raise $5,000 in donations
1. Log 30 miles
2. Log 50 miles
3. Log 100 miles
4. Log 500 miles
Q. When can I start earning badges?
A. Now! You don’t have to wait until September to start to earn any of the five main participation or fundraising milestone badges. However, all Mileage Milestone badges cannot be earned until mile tracking begins September 1.
Q. Do I have to tell ALSF that I want to be in the badge program?
A. No – everyone who signs up for Alex’s Million Mile and registers with their email address will automatically be a part of the badge program
Q. Where can I see the badges I’ve earned?
1. From the Members Tab on your team page

Q. Where can I see what badges other team members have earned?
A. From the Badges Tab of your team wall, you can see the count of how many members have earned each badge. If you hover your cursor over the lemon that is on the corner of each badge, you’ll see the list of team members who’ve earned that badge so far.
Q. How will I know when I earn badges?
A. You will receive an email notification or an on-screen pop-up notification when you’ve earned a badge.
Q. How can I tell my friends about the badges I’ve earned?
A. From the pop-up notification, you should see several share links where you can share your badge on social media.
Q. I shared my page, but I didn’t get the Share Your Page! Badge. Why not?
A. You must be logged into the website and share your page from the sharing icons in order to receive the badge. We appreciate all page shares, but only pressing the icons on the page triggers the badge.
Q. If I’m a part of a team but I didn’t sign myself up for Alex’s Million Mile, can I still earn badges?
A. No. You can only earn badges if you registered yourself with your email address on our website.
Q. What are the Fundraising Milestone badges?
A. They are special badges that you will receive as you get more donations on your behalf and reach certain fundraising levels. These milestone badges are separate from your personal fundraising goal.
Q. What are the Mileage Milestone badges?
A. Mileage Milestone badges are badges you will receive for reaching special mileage levels. These badges are separate from your personal mileage goal.
Q. My team has raised over $1,000 and logged over 50 miles as a group in total. Why didn't we receive those badges?
A. The badges are awarded on an individual basis and are awarded based on your personal achievements.
Q. Why do I already have badges when September hasn’t started?
A. Because if you’ve already completed some of the activities required to earn a badge, we want to recognize that you’re already ahead of the game!
Q. I see small icons next to my name in the Member list. How do I know what they mean?
A. If you hover your cursor over the image, you should see the badge description pop up and describe the badge you’re looking at.
