Power the Cure: Their Future is Our Mission.

In 2011 Power’s founders learned the story of a brave little girl named Alex Scott. Alex’s dedication to serve others despite her overwhelming obstacles aligned with the foundational values they built Power on. They were so inspired by her that they adopted her dream as Power’s mission - to help Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation find a cure for childhood cancer.

When it comes to giving back, our people are different. They don’t want Power to sign a check and move on. They want to get involved, drive our work, and redefine what’s possible. And in true Power fashion, they go all in.

Starting in July every year, we dedicate several months to support Alex’s through a virtual all-company kickoff, payroll contributions, kickball tournaments, The Million Mile, auctions, lemonade stands, and other unique fundraisers. Since the beginning of our partnership with ALSF, we’ve raised almost $8M in donations - mostly donated by our people. In 2022, we established the Power the Cure fund at ALSF, a fund dedicated to developing innovative cures and therapies for hard-to-treat pediatric cancers. Our work with Alex’s has earned us a Shorty Impact award and the Alex Scott Crystal Cup award, and recognized us as one of Philadelphia Business Journal’s Faces of Philanthropy.

"As a company founded on service and working towards something bigger than ourselves, Alex’s fight is deeply aligned with who we are. The fact that Power’s contributions for the past eight years have mainly come from employee fundraising and not a corporate donation is proof that our efforts aren't to check a box, but fueled by a shared sense of purpose we hold close to our hearts. We look forward to fighting for a cure for many years to come. ”
