2017 Freedom Ride

The 2017 Freedom Ride began on a beautiful Saturday morning at 7:30 am. Over 300 cyclists rode options ranging from 35 to 71.5 miles on county roads in Eastern Jackson County. Volunteers handed out food and drink at various stops to help rehydrate and energize the riders. There was also a Trail Ride for families that was fun for kids and adults alike. After the cyclists finished, they were treated to Buffalo Wild Wings snack pack, Papa John’s pizza and Jimmy John’s sandwiches. It was an amazing day that raised over $10,000 for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.

2016 Freedom Ride

Thanks to those who supported our 8th annual Freedom Ride on July 2, 2016. Although the rain kept many of the Freedom Riders from cycling, we had 45 die hard cyclists that completed a shortened route. We definitely made lemonade out of lemons! Thanks to our wonderful volunteers, Sibley Orchard, Tuscano’s restaurant, Buffalo Wild Wings and Former Chiefs player, Louie Aguiar! Louie celebrated his 50th birthday after supporting the riders in the rain!
