Join the Committee

ALSF is looking to establish committees of people with the following positions of leadership. We are looking for 1-2 people for each position. Help us make The Great Chefs Event NYC a memorable experience and raise funds for pediatric cancer research. 

Sponsorship Chair(s)

Garner sponsors for the event by helping create a list of businesses to then solicit. We ask that chair(s) will open their “rolodex” and reach out to their personal business contacts in the hopes that these contacts will support the event monetarily or by giving an in-kind donation. Chair(s) will not only make the initial ask but also commit to following up with their contacts via email or phone. Note: ALSF will take care of any administrative responsibilities (i.e. drafting, printing and sending letters).

Auction Acquisition Chair(s)

Solicit auction items for our Live and Silent Auctions. Auction items can be, but are not limited to, any of the following: sports/theatre/concert tickets, signed memorabilia, jewelry/clothing, toys, electronics, restaurant gift certificates, spa packages, vacation packages or one of kind experiences. 

Décor Chair(s)

Assist in finding floral and any other décor donations for the event. Help organize and set up any elements involving décor the day of the event. This will include helping to set up guest tables and hanging signage. 

Marketing & Promotion Chair(s)

Spread the word and help sell tickets to the event. Pursue all avenues to create a broader audience and generate interest. Chair will work in conjunction with the ALSF Public Relations team to promote the event through social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. 

Beverage Chair(s)

Assist in acquiring one of the most important aspects of the event: beverages! Submit online donation requests, speak with and make connections in the beverage industry to secure donations for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. 

Volunteer Chair(s)

We couldn’t host events without volunteers! Gather supporters to help with the event including greeting, check-in, raffle/auction, and check-out. Volunteer shifts can also include the setup and breakdown of the event. 

General Committee Member

For those who would love to support the event but cannot commit to lead an area or would like to focus their efforts on more than one specific section.
