The Lemon Climb Boston 2017
Thank you for your support of Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation’s 2nd Annual Lemon Climb event in Boston! The Climb raised nearly $55,000, which will support over five months’ worth of research for kids with cancer!
We had 155 expert and novice stairclimbers come together to help kids fighting cancer everywhere. Those extra steps taken will give researchers a leg up on discovering better treatments and cures for childhood cancer. Congratulations to Team Mighty Max, who were our top fundraisers at nearly $12,000.
A special shout out goes to Stephen Maralese (Rye Brook, NY) and Ann Morgan (Cambridge, MA) for finishing with the fastest male and female climb times. Stephen scaled the flights in just 3 minutes and 20 seconds, even going back for a second climb, while Ann finished in only 4 minutes and 37 seconds! You can view the full race results here. Lastly, thanks to our event sponsors, Northwestern Mutual, Verti Insurance and our presenting sponsor, Volvo.
The Lemon Climb Boston 2016
Thank you for your support of Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation’s inaugural Lemon Climb presented by Volvo! The Climb raised an amazing $40,000 for children with cancer. This will help to fund critically-needed research grants to scientists looking to find better treatments and cures. With nearly 150 participants (some dressed as running lemons and superheroes), wonderful volunteers and a fun post-climb celebration, we are already looking forward to our next event in Boston. Thank you for your commitment to making a difference and climbing for a cure!
A special thank you to Teams Mighty Max, Spencer's Steppers, Summer Strong, Car Ramrod, and C the Cure for each raising over $1,500 for childhood cancer research. If your team hasn’t reached your fundraising goal yet, it’s not too late! Every dollar counts towards making a difference in the lives of children with cancer and their families. Congratulations to Ruben Dries of Boston, MA and Heather Hanson of Marstons Mills, MA for being the first male and female to finish the climb. Results from the event can be found here.
