The 2018 Lemon Climb Houston
The saying “Everything is bigger in Texas,” certainly rang true at the inaugural Lemon Climb Houston, where almost 700 attendees made this the Foundation’s largest stair climb ever! With nearly $130,000 raised, your support will fund over a years’ worth of a research project. If you want to keep helping researchers and families, some of whom also climbed at the event, fundraising pages will remain open for the next month.
From childhood cancer families to Houstonians looking for a fun workout, everyone’s enthusiasm made for a thrilling morning at Chase Tower. One participant even finished a 10K that morning before ending her workout with the 75-flight climb. No matter what drew you there, your participation meant another step forward in the search for better treatments and cures.
Congratulations to Team Sully, the top fundraising team at more than $7,500. Special kudos to the fastest 75-flight male and female climbers, Harrison Kieffer (10:35) and Rebekah Mcleod (13:30). Full results from the event can be found here.
Finally, thanks to all the generous event sponsors including Faris D. Virani Ewing sarcoma Center, Northwestern Mutual, Otis Elevator Company as well as Hines and Texas Tower Limited Partnership for hosting the event. Special shout out to all the other sponsors and those who helped make this event run so smoothly!
If you want to take next year’s Lemon Climb Houston to even greater heights, don’t forget to sign up to be notified for the 2019 event!
